ProMet Athlete Spotlight – Kelsey Carr Archbishop Molloy Softball #22 ❗️❗️

Kelsey is dual student athlete at Archbishop Molloy High school. She plays for the volleyball team, but her true love lies on the softball field while being one of the top pitchers in the league ⚾️

She has also verbally committed to play for Seton Hall College while only a sophomore. Not only does she work hard on the field, but she dedicates much of her time to prepare for the challenging road ahead of becoming a Physical Therapist herself!

Kelsey recently came to see us after an injury during a tournament leading to a calf strain and a bone bruise. She has been working with one of our physical therapists Dr. Jason Villano to help decrease her pain, increasing her lower body strength and neuromuscular control with softball specific drills. Even though her calf was the issue that doesn’t mean we neglect enhancing overall performance and treating the entire individual as a whole.

Like we always say at ProMet to our Athletes “LETS RETURN TO SPORT BETTER NOT THE SAME ‼️

Kelsey knows when the time comes to step back on the mound she will return with a better understanding of how to prevent injury, understand proper form and mechanics with playing and training as well as appreciate how complex the human body is.

Want to find out how Kelsey and all of our other patients now have lifetime Physical Therapists they can depend on? Join the ProMet family and schedule a session today!
