
Dr. Michael Macchiarulo
Michael holds a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Long Island University, Brooklyn, in which he accumulated a wealth of clinical and scholastic knowledge and experiences that has allowed him to evaluate and treat a variety of orthopedic, sports related, and neurological diagnoses with a vast array of techniques.
Through his Doctoral training, Michael has completed 4 intensive rotations across various settings ranging from outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, acute care/geriatrics and subacute care. Of special note; Mike spent considerable time within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, providing Physical Therapy services for the men and women who served our country.
Michael has a passion for providing high quality service and treating the individual as a whole person. He applies treatment approaches that center on optimizing emotional intelligence, functional movement with a focus on sports rehabilitation and sports injury prevention. He is well versed on the use of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (Graston Technique), Cupping, and Postural Restoration (PRI) techniques.
While becoming the Clinical Director of our Glendale, Atlas Park office, he also spearheads our Social Media Division, YouTube Platform with ProMet Productions and our ProMet Performance Team. ProMet Performance has its focus based on injury prevention programming, consulting services for fitness and general physical preparedness (GPP) while working directly with local high schools and the PSAL. ProMet Performance has also had the opportunity to become affiliated with the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council. And Schools Out NYC ( SONYC ) programs across the Tri-State area.
