Dr. Michael Macchiarulo
Mike holds a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Long Island University, Brooklyn, in which he accumulated a wealth of scholastic knowledge and clinical experience that has allowed him to evaluate and treat various orthopedic, sports related, and neurological diagnoses with a vast array of techniques.
Through his Doctoral training, Mike completed 4 intensive rotations across various settings while treating diverse populations within fast paced clinical environments. These experiences ranged from outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, acute care, and subacute care. Of special note; Mike spent considerable time within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, providing Physical Therapy services for the men and women who served our country.
Mike has a passion for providing high quality service to his community. He applies treatment approaches that center on optimizing functional movement with a focus on sports rehabilitation and sports injury prevention. He is well versed on the use of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (Graston Technique), Cupping, and Postural Restoration (PRI) techniques. Mike has spearheaded an injury prevention program with Maspeth High School, working with young athletes and coaches to ensure optimal athletic performance.
